Calendars
Some Harvard Theater events are based on a set annual schedule; others are planned on a more ad-hoc basis. If you're looking for showtimes for a particular production, visit HRDC's event calendar (out of date), which lists most campus shows. For significant events in Harvard Theater and Performance, including application deadlines, Common Casting, and preset show slots, see the calendar below.
Shows that have managed to put together a website for publicity for the upcoming season can be found in the Upcoming Shows section.
HTAG meetings are held on a bi-weekly basis on Mondays at 5:30PM in the Agassiz at the Agassiz. We encourage anyone with an interest in theater to attend. Contact Alan Symonds for the next meeting date.

How this calendar was created
HTAG has been trying to collect the various scheduling algorithms and formalize them. Here's what we have so far:
Application Deadlines: This presents the ordinary schedule for theater applications. Occasionally some disturbance will force a temporary change in this schedule, but spaces and producing groups will ordinarily use these formulas to determine due dates.
Each production should file a pre-application, two weeks before the application deadline for each space. This is done by sending an e-mail to theatre@harvard including the show name, key person contact name, phone, and e-mail address; the space (s) in consideration; and the preferred production dates.
The Fall Term schedule is defined in terms of the first Sunday in December (FSD):
- Mainstage Applications are due the first Sunday in December
- Agassiz applications are due the Friday after FSD
- Mainstage interviews will be the weekend after FSD
- Agassiz interviews will be during the week after Mainstage interviews
- Ex applications are due on the Wednesday 10 days after FSD
- House applications will be due the last day before Winter Recess
- Ex interviews will be the first weekend after Reading Period begins
The Spring Term schedule is defined in terms of the Beginning of Reading Period (BRP), which is a Saturday
Common Casting
- if classes begin on a Monday or a Tuesday, CC begins the same day as classes (is this true?)
- if classes begin Wednesday or later, CC begins the next Monday
Spring Mainstage
- First show opens first weekend after Spring Break
- 2nd show open 4th weekend after Spring Break
Fall Mainstage (from JSM)
- First load-in should begin three weeks after classes begin.
- Second load-in should coincide with the Sunday and Monday of Columbus Day
(observed on the first Monday of October).
- The second three week slot must conclude before Thanksgiving recess.
Other Events
